Nachbericht zur Veranstaltung des RFID-AZM

RFID Reader Technical Training

The Impinj reader seminar was designed for different knowledge and skill levels among the participants, the only requirement was a keen interest in RFID. For those participants with few or almost no background knowledge in the matter, the first few lessons covered the basic stuff, like the electrical engineering basics behind RFID, the Hardware components of an RFID system and their interactions with each other and the environment.

After this extensive introduction, the focus was on what EPC GEN2 tags can do and how you can get them to do that with an RFID reader (the impinj reader just served as an example in most cases since the approach is quite similar with other readers). The later part involved programming a couple of typical use-cases in small groups with Visual Studio and the SDK for Impinj readers. This part of the seminar allowed the attendees to put their newly gained knowledge into practice, so even if the introduction part was nothing new to you, you could definitely learn something in this second part.

Most of the presented information was not specific to Impinj Readers, so it didn’t feel like a sales event, but a workshop that was quite worth visiting, regardless of what equipment you intend to use at a later time. The instructors were quite competent in presenting the topics and even more in answering questions from the participants.
